Welcome to the Newton Civic Pride Committee!

Since 1989 the Newton Civic Pride Committee, a non-profit volunteer organization has been enriching the cultural life and community in Newton.

The key to the success of Newton Civic Pride Committee has been the support of our partners from the community, individual volunteers, and our business sponsors. This has allowed us to bring innovative programs to the people of Newton at no cost to the tax payers.

Additional support is provided by the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, which acts as liaison to city departments on all city-wide events, the Newton Parks and Recreation Department and Arts in the Parks.

"The Newton Civic Pride Committee is so proud to be celebrating its 20th anniversary of sponsoring events throughout the year that bring citizens together in celebration, to protect the environment, to promote healthy living on a healthy planet, and to promote the arts and culture.

As Vice President of Cambridge Savings Bank, a citizen of Newton and President of the Newton Civic Pride Committee, I take great pleasure in not only being a sponsor but a very active volunteer."—Ruth Barnett, President, Newton Civic Pride Committee
